Skardu is a town and capital of Skardu District, in Gilgit–Baltistan, Pakistan. Skardu is in the 10 kilometres (6 miles) wide by 40 kilometres (25 miles) long Skardu Valley, at the confluence of the Indus and the Shigar River. Skardu is at an altitude of nearly 2,500 m (8,200 ft). The town is surrounded by grey-brown coloured mountains, which hide the 8,000 metre peaks of the nearby Karakoram range. There are three lakes in the vicinity: Upper Kachura lake, Lower Kachura Lake, and Sadpara Lake.
The Kachura Lakes (upper and lower) are two lakes in the Skardu District of Gilgit-Baltistan, northern Pakistan. The lakes, at 2,500 metres (8,200 ft) in elevation, are Upper Kachura Lake and Lower Kachura Lake.The latter is also known as Shangrila Lake and is within a tourist resort named Shangrila Resort outside the town of Skardu. The lakes are in the Karakoram mountain range of the western Himalayas, the greater Kashmir region, and in the Indus River basin.
The Shigar Valley is a valley in Baltistan in northern Pakistan that is watered by the Shigar River. The valley stretches about 170 km from Skardu to Askole and is the gateway to the high mountains of the Karakoram. The town of Shigar is the largest settlement in valley. Even though the Shigar Valley is a remote and largely inaccessible place, there are several villages in the valley. Askole is the last settlement in the Shigar Valley, which is still far from the high mountains. Shigar was formerly an administrative sub-division of Skardu District, but is now a district in its own right.
Deosai refers to the “Land of Giants”. Deosai Plains are situated in Astore District of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The National Park of Deosai is located on the Deosai Plains of the northern geographic region. Deosai National Park is at an average altitude of 4,114 meters (13,497 feet) above the sea level, making the Deosai Plains the second highest plateau in the world, after the adjoining Tibetan Plateau. It protects an area of 3,000 square kilometers. It is well famous for its rich flora and fauna of the Karakoram-West Tibetan Plateau. In the spring spell it is roofed by sweeps wildflowers and a diversity of butterflies. Deosai Lake also known as Sheosar Lake from the Shina language meaning “Blind Lake” is in the park. The lake, at an elevation of 4,142 meters (13,589 feet), is one of the highest elevated lakes in the world. Its length is 2.3 kilometres (7,500 feet), width 1.8 kilometres (5,900 feet) and average depth is about 40 meters (130 ft). It is situated close to the Chilim Valley on the Deosai Plains.
Khaplu is the administrative capital of the Ghanche District of Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan. Lying 103 km (64 mi) east of the town of Skardu, it was the second-largest kingdom in old Baltistan of Yabgo dynasty. It guarded the trade route to Ladakh along the Shyok River.
Khaplu Valley is 103 kilometres (64 miles) from Skardu and two hours by jeep. It is a sprawling village located at the confluence of the Indus and the Shyok Rivers in Pakistan.
Khaplu is a base for trekking into the Hushe valley which leads to Masherbrum mountains. Many famous mountains, such as Masherbrum, K-6, K-7, Sherpi Kangh, Sia Kangri, Saltoro Kangri and Siachen etc. are located there. Khaplu is a famous destination for autumn season across the globe.

Day 1- 28th October, 2017: Arrival at Naran / Besham, at 6:00am. Breakfast at Naran/ Besham and Departure for Chillas, Lunch on way, Dinner and overnight stay at Shangrilla Indus view hotel Challas.
Day 2- 29th October, 2017: 7:00 AM Breakfast at Shangrilla Indus view hotel Chillas & departure for Shigar – Skardu. Lunch on way. Continue travel towards Shigar, Dinner & Overnight stay at Space Hotel Shigar.
Day 3- 30th October, 2017: 07:30 AM Breakfast at Space hotel Shigar. Checkout from hotel and visit to Shigar Fort & departure for Khaplu. Lunch on way, Short stopover at white desert. Dinner & Overnight stay at Khaplu.
Day 4- 31st October, 2017: Breakfast at Khaplu, visit to Khaplu Palace, Mosque, Machullu & Mankotha. Departure for Tibet Motel, Kachura Lake (Shangrilla). Lunch on way, Dinner & Overnight stay at Tibet Motel, Kachura Lake.
